AS,
I understand and know what its, like to wait for a game for so long, only to find that its not what it could/have or should of been, its like been hit with a ton of cement blocks right on the bridge of the nose, oooouch its sore.
We have all, gone through the waiting, for a game only to be dissapointed
But its looking good and there does seem to be light at the end of the tunnel, so far so good for SHIII, so try to be positive and keep good spirits and you will find that life is much more happier than being negative and pesamistic.
PS Im not havn a ago at you, its just some times your posts are really negative, its like you try to find problems with everything, you put things down, and disagree about other things.
But like I said you are intitled to post and have opionons, I or nobody can take that away from you or anyone
Peace With Ya |

The optimist believes this is going to be the best subsim ever. The pessimist fears that this will turn out to be right

These two pictures I have taken on a sunny day in the north atlantic and you can trust me, out on a real ocean there are far fewer reflections as Hollywood movies or actual games like PoTC, FarCry, ... shows to you.

Well, Graphics should be a no brainer for SH3.....its the obvious easy upgrade to please the causal gamer...........it going to be in everything else that truely matters......AI, interior stations, scope views, historical accuraccy.......not to be clichce but its what's on the inside that counts.......right now we have a Great looking chick......but is she a floozzy? I want a Smart Beautiful Women!!! I hate being inpatient!!
Alright enough with the stupid analogies!!
"block out bad, focus on good, feel the flow.......feeling it.......feelin it" |

@ AS
Have you try the game Combat Mission? The graphics don't compare with Need for speed but the gameplay is light year ahead  |

Colors, textures, environment 's looking great!
Attencion to detail is amasing, really.
Especially the ships are looking very induvidual, compared to other sub sims.
Please proceed with the developement, will you just speed it up a little, will ya?
Cheers!

I like the screenshots...look good for a beta. But I must say that Iīm ready to accept SH2 graphics and interface for SH3 as long as I get a bulletproof running game, with nice inmersion feel and fair gameplay possibilities.
And if there are last generation graphics on top of that, wellcome then!

I have to second this request. Those screens are gorgeous, but I sure wouldn't mind knowing if I need to start squirelling away money for an upgrade. |

Yeah i agree withthe concerns over the system requirements but hopefully ill be alright.
These screenshots are amazing i love the look of SH3 and i hope that i can have a system to do it justice.
all we need now is the gameplay to be as good as those screenies and this will be the game of the century by far! |

Since the screenshots show nothing striking I guess your 1 GHZ PC will do fine. If you turn down the details, a Pentium 90 seems to be fast enough.
Donīt hit the roof, just meant as a joke

I agree with you as far as the ocean goes, AS. Pirates' sea looks better. It's the size of the ocean waves compared to the size of the ships in the SH3 shot that make the ships look like toy boats. The ships themselves look fine, from what I can see of them in that long distance shot.
Ideally, the surface of the sea should be made up of much smaller waves to look right, or big waves with white breakers and spray if there's a storm.

I can vouch for that. Seeing a calm North Atlantic was very rare and even when I have seen dead calm you see more sun sparkles then reflections of clouds. Good pics Seeadler. Reminds me of when I was embarked on amphibious ships. Best time was the North Atlantic in winter on a LST. |

Boy, I never thought I'd see the day when graphics as slick as SH3, Enigma, and DW would be inspected so rigorously
I still remember when this was state-of-the-art!!
And no, Apples, it didn't have a dynamic campaign :dead: |
