Included with both full and “lite” versions is the Pacific Aces Campaign Generator (PACG). With this, you can specify a year, a base to work from and a submarine type, and a campaign will be generated for you at random. So, if you want to drive a Gato out of Brisbane in 1943, you’ll get a year-long campaign doing just that. Likewise a Balao out of Midway in ’44, and so on.
The campaign missions you’ll get will be a random selection of missions created by Hitman using similar techniques to the popular Aces Campaign, but with important additions. The convoys are randomly selected from a large database of templates. Weather is randomly generated according to your location and the time of year; even your start dates and times are random. In other words, every mission of every campaign you play will be different.
The design of PACG is open. You can slot new missions and templates in and they will be picked up and used in campaigns. Even the screen artwork and screen layout are user configurable.
PACG is a Visual Basic program, seamlessly integrated within the Pacific Aces menu structure and installed by McBeck’s installer. Programming is by Floater, artwork by Horsa and the missions and templates are by Hitman. |

WOW! It gets more exciting all the time. Will we be able to add other boats, like starting out of Manila in an S-class, a la SHI?
I'm going crazy just wondering how much better this can get! |

Be in mind, with campaigns out of this generator you can't no longer easy ask here in the forums how mission 1 or 2 or ... can be solved because other user maybe got a different mission 1 or 2 from PACG. |

Yes, you can add in bases, but you've got to write the missions to put in there. |

Superb work, gentlemen.
Many professionally-done games pale in comparison.
Cheers! |

do's this mean that the weather changes during the same mission, say if you sail from A to B using time compression when you get to B the weather will be different than it was at A?. ie dynamic weather.
This Mod sounds great................... |

Yes, weather is dynamic in PACG-generated missions. Even if you stay in the same place, it will change. |

Awesome, thanks for the prompt reply Floater, this will add a whole new level of realism to this already great sim.
I've just read on another thread that someone in the Dev team has found a problem with the installer, does this mean a big delay on the release of this baby?. Hope not.............. |

I don't think the problem you've mentioned will make much difference to the release date. We're prepared for last-minute glitches - they were always bound to happen. |

We can't be more specific than "soon". Please, just be patient - we don't want to release a product that's not ready. |

I don't know where anybody gets the idea that we'll commit to a release date before we're happy it's ready to go. |

I agree. Let's show these people the respect they deserve for producing this great product, without harassing them for dates they can't, and shouldn't, commit to. |
