I dropped out of the loop for a while, but when I was last here, I understood that SH3 was going to be in the Pacific, or would model both the Atlantic and Pacific theatres. Is this no longer true?

I am a little concerned about the lack of news for a DD version to play against this nice sub. If Ubi releases just a sub game, lets forget about STATS, and interesting human vs human MP games. I am very happy with the new game news, surely something very welcome, but the lack of a DD human manned for MP, makes it just interesting for Single Player.
hmm not good for Wolfpack League actual gaming. Hope we get news for a same quality/features DD release along SHIII.

^^^

What Furia said.

SH3 will be good, but they absolutely need multi-player.

This is the way I see it. More players are single players. True this sim needs the capability to support multiplay for the rest of the community. However, in my opinion, the focus with DC and SH2 being interactive was the downfall of SH2. Too much effort was put in just that aspect (and they didn't even get that right). If SH3 has an intelligent AI, multiplay would be a challenge just gathering a wolfpack together and attacking the Convoys. Like I said in earlier posts, once this game is completed correctley, then maybe an expansion pack would add the humun controlled surface ships for all to play. Just think and dream, changing weeather and seas, aircraft with searchlites, convoys that evade or call in air or surface support... The list goes on and on.

I agree with Hardman - focus on co-op team play and perfecting one game before going to big in scope with destroyers, surface vessels, etc.

Cheers,
Rommel

If they will succed in developing a "robust" (how nice this word!!!) wolfpack game play for the multyiplayer this will be an ACE of Spades for SH III. But I would love to see a capital ship allied with me in a convoy hunt (especialy on a heavy escorted one).

Well I have popped in out and out on occassion and been watching this info.

After buying SHII and to be honest total dissappointment on that one... to be honest I have no idea where the game CD even is anymore, that is how much I played it. Anyway.

If they want to build a great game they need to forget the eye candy and concentrate on a dynamic campaign and build from there. Most problem with games today is they start from the eye candy and then build in. Then when things get rushed it's the internal's of the game that suffers.

What me to buy it, put a good dynamic campaign engine in it, give me excellent sounds, give me a game editor. Then we can worry about eye candy. Playing SHII or Aces I don't sit there and stare at the screen thinking about how pretty the picture is, I sit there and try to figure out how far the DD is away from me, which direction is he coming from, does he have a good idea where I am at? That is what I notice.

I also agree with the idea of human DD interaction, screw it. If it takes away from them designing an excellent single (most used I would bet) player or multi-sub player game then I could care less about human DD's. Doesn't matter if the games bad if there are 8 subs or 4 subs and 4 dd's, a lousy game is still a lousy game.
