Land would be great! It would be cool to support landings and have the LFN take back England and/or Canada

Okay some of these things may have been mentioned but oh wells, that just means they aren't the only ones Razz

1) Definitely improve water
a. Turn it more blue instead of that gray
b. Improve reflextions (the sun, the ships)
c. Make it so you can see rain hit the sea and have the water react (however little, it'll still look more realistic)
2) Add more land in the campaign
a. Maybe start missions in port and do everything from sail out, preform the mission, and sail home. Include the option to skip right to your mission and automatically sail home. If the graphics are much better, I wouldn't mind sailing ten or fifteen minutes just to get to where I am supposed to do the mission, even if just once or twice it'll still add more realism.
b. If you are a ship moving undetected by the enemy coast, and you get to close to the shore, make it so enemy people on the coast will notify the enemy navy about you and send people after you
c. Add mountains or some kind of seemingly endless landscape when near land so it doesn't just look like a two dimmensional strip of land. Add more depth (should be pretty easy, you don't have to create rolling hills or ice peaked mountains, just the illusion that the land goes on)
d. It would majorly change gameplay, but add coastal defenses and maybe in one mission, the control of them
e. Add friendly and hostile ports where ships can be re-supplied (I have a tendancy to use up all my torpedo's very early on in campaigns)
f. Add the ability to bombared the shore and gain points (experience, rank, etc)
3) Improve air fighting
a. Friendly air cover! I want to be able to call in an entire squadron of fliers so they can bomb another ship or coastal defense that is annoying me
b. If possible, change the ships so anti-aircraft guns can defend the ship from any angle because its annoying trying to position the ship so the enemy aircraft attack from certain angles because the guns can't move all the way around (and even though the AI can fight, it would be fun to take part in more of the shooting but its so much easier with the AI)
4) Improve submarine detection, I often have no idea where they are until they fire a torpedo then I go to that area and unload like thirty of those... submarine... blow up... barrell... thingies...
5) Improve interior of subs
a. When you are damaged, show leaking water perhaps
b. When the ship is hit, have more noise and shaking. Its too unexciting as it is now. I am often hanging out waiting for depth charges to pass by me then it says, "You have been killed by a depth charge" or whatever and I"m like, "Okay thanks for telling me I wouldn't have noticed probably"
c. When the sub is destroyed, have it be more chaotic and not just a slight tilt and the lights go dim (even though that does get frightening)... Have there be like water gushing in (depending on depth), crashing sounds, a huge tilt, and so on.
6) Surface ships
a. Definitely add aircraft carriers, or at least airfields on land because where are these planes coming from!?
b. More ship types, obsolite and state of the art ships (at the time)
(1) Troop transports
(2) Supply ships (which can also be used to re-supply at sea)

Other random improvements
1) Have civilian boats and if you approach a civilian boat of a hostile nation, they radio in your position
2) When a ship sinks, show people in the water (oh, who cares about the content rating!? Sure, younger people will not be able to buy the game possibly, but many war game fanatics will see a higher age rating and instantly be like "Whoa cool it must be brutal". Who wants to buy a wargame where the only thing that is hurt is a couple tons of iron or whatever ships are made of plumeting to the bottom of the sea. Check out the opening of any Medal of Honor game and you'll see that they start with some serious destruction. I don't want to merely see a ship sink, I want to see people trying to escape the ship. Also, you could possibly make it so ships will come and try to save the survivers. More prey for the predator *wink*
3) Add crew sounds
a. Cheering when an enemy ship or plane is destroyed. Make sure its not a repetative "yay!" but like twenty different cheers.
b. Crew talking about enemy attacks. "Plane coming from the right" "Sub to starboard" "Sub torpedo in the water!" "Where is it? I don't see it!" "Torpedo coming up from starboard" etc... Its too hard just reading, "Torpedo fired at us" or whatever it says and looking around to spot it and turn to avoid it.
c. an option to tell the crew to shut up, like when you are in a sub and way underwater trying to avoid depth charges. That would just make the game so cool, talking and yelling and then erie silence as you listen to the sound of explosions near you.
4) increase the sound of depth charge explosions so I know when they are close and when there are not any because sometimes I am chillin' at 200 meters then bam! Other times I am hiding for five minutes and then surface and learn that the ship I thought was coming after me diverted its course so far away.
5) Add an option for replays when a ship (being me or an enemy) is sunk, showing the weapon be fired, the weapon hit, and the ship sinking.
6) It would be really cool to see a ship burning even though they aren't made of wood, but sometimes amunition and explodes (like on the Lusitania). Plus these ships have a lot of fuel, and if the ship has not been active that day for very long, and has a full tank, have it explode bigger.
7) Increase fragileness of a sub. I started mission three for the American subs and when I first surfaced, I actually ran into the bottom of a tanker and when I backed up and saw there was a ship there (I was careless) I laughed that a sub could survive that.
a. Increase screetching noises when you run into another ship because I think such an event would be a loud one.
Cool Definitly make aircraft flyable if you have "Air... Surface... Submerged" on the game's cover... thing...

And finally....... since all this stuff would be more like a new game and not a patch......... Make a more.... WWII based game.... And fix all the incorrect history. Winston Churchill and Harry Truman and the Kaiser all being in power in 1937 or whatever year it was? Churchill didn't come to power till 39, Truman in the mid 40's, and the Kaiser like......... World War One dude......... I think it would be cool to add more stragetegic elements of the game... For instance... You start at shore in Bremen for example as a German sub commander... You get X many points for sinking a merchant ship, Y many points for sinking a navy vessel, Z points for downing a plane... Also add points for shelling enemy coast and fortifications, destroying supply (the bigger the supply the more the points... The more the tonnage sunk, the more points)

As you accumulate points you get higher rank and money, with which you can purchase updates or new ships or better crew... And your crew increases with your rank. Also with money you can buy food supplys and stuff so you can stay out at sea for long periods of time before returning to port.

For example... To make this all work without it getting boring... You have two options...

1) Go to next mission - You are told what you must do (i.e. sink XYZ ship, sink 20 cruisers, etc) and you get so many points for completing the mission to advance the story.

2) Roam freely - You get to take your ship(s) and go hunting for a certain time until your superiors radio you to come back to port because its time for a mission (and you can set the roam freely time to ten minutes, twenty minutes, an hour, or random, etc).

I think that would be fun because you actually get to kinda love and appreciate your ship and be proud of what she's done instead of just constant missions that only result in victory or "try again"...... It would be cool to be able to advance the story at long as you stay alive and keep at least one ship...

I think thats about it....... lol! But yeah, I would really like to see a more open-ended gameplay with more "You decide your fate as you go"... Hey maybe you can start the game as like an anti-aircraft gunner at Pearl Harbor or something like that and if you do great, you get command of a ship of your chosing, if you do so-so you get a random ship...... and if you do lousy then you merely get anti-aircraft or anti-ship guns until you gain enough points to get a commanding rank....

Oh, and also add crew on the game.... And when you want to take command of a gun you say, "Take the wheel. Son get away from that gun" and you see yourself taking the gun from the origional gunner... lol

Oh, and more debris when you sink a ship. And the crates and stuff falling off the merchant ships, etc. Also show a reply of subs being sunk by depth charges (option can be turned off) and actually be able to see the depth charges explode underwater.

Also add an option where, when you shoot the main gun, the camera follows the bullet thing (I dont know what a big bullet is called... not a bomb, not a missile....)

The shell! lol

Maybe

Anyway, I'd like that cuz in some of the sub missions I just blast away with the big gun and I have no clue how close I am getting because the shell just disappears so quickly... Or at least maybe show the shell on radar or something........

I reckon these are all good ideas but there should also be:
1)Frigates
2)Destroyer Escorts, Destroyers, Destroyer Leaders
3)Light Crusiers, Heavy Crusiers
4)Battlecrusiers, Battleships/Dreadnoughts
5)Carriers with aircraft you can use
6)Subs, Seaplane carrying subs
7)LAND!!!!!
8)Some sort of primative guidance on torpedoes
9)An interface for choosing missions like Stafleet Command 1/2/3
in which you have to move to a specific place on a very large map and you can recruit people into your fleet. and you can buy your own ship and arm it as you please depending if you can afford it.
10)Civilian ships used by the three side eg liners coverted to troopships/hospital ships.
11)Multiplayer built in.

Otherwise i love Enigma: Rising Tide. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Rock
