What do you need for painting apart from time and patience? Confused

well, you need a painting program (I don't know the names right now), need some skills with photoshop, and of course, pacience.

I already seen some nice DW added models around here, and I wander ho painted them...

you need GIMP or Photoshop or other 2d, photo editing software, then you needs some skills and lots of reference photographs to make your model look for what it should be.

good point kapitain, anyway, here is an update, I (with a lot of sweating), made to smooth the front a bit, and improved the scene.

I was reading some post a few nights ago, and there was a member who has a R/C Submarine. I always dreamed about buiding one myself, the ballast tanks, everything, and I got really interested and started my research. Soon I found out that it can be reeeeeaaaallly expensive, because they (experienced modellers)found out ways of CHARGING you everything like 20 bucks for a simply blue print, imagine a piston ballast tank or even a model.
This will be a project for the next few years. I live in Brazil too and things are 3x more expensive here due to local money. Not to mention the taxes if you´re importing even a simply book (40%+).
I won´t pay 60 local bucks for a blueprint, nor 400 dollars on a ballast tank, I´ll build myself my own stuff, but i don´t know where to begin...they won´t help me either....
To become a member of a NON-PROFIT org called subcommittee you have to pay 30+ bucks for 1 year.......................
