hey guys im creating a conversion for the xxi boat
im turning her into a SOVIET AKULA

i need people for the following tasks

1. create russian officer skins (soviet era)

2. change dials and gauges from german to russian

3. officers and crew's voice must be changed to russian


what i managed to do

i changed to change the diesel and electric motor sounds so they sound like i nuclear reactor

and change the config files so it peformes like a AKULA

and i will get the black skin for xxi but give credit to the creator of the skin [/b]

good luck, the SH3 engine is for WWII era sub combat. How are you going to model all the sophisticated modern detection systems and weapons? Why not go to DW?

as i said on my first post JOEA

i already done some config files eg:

sub goes 30 kts

i tryed to replecate a shkval
by making a set of TIII torpedos go 200kts fairly sucsessful

and the dive time is faster

THE NOOB i agree sh3 engine is a better platform to work with

no crumy flat panels simulating a comartment :nope:

I guess you'd be using my Type21 skin than. Wink I would not suggest an akula though, but some old russian november style boat may be? Or whatever as close to type 21 in looks as possible, the K19 type of thing, vintage nuclear sub, not modern one. This way you have the visual sort of look alikeness, as well as your nuclear sounds... Razz Plus you avoid the tecnical gizmos issue as much as possible.

PS. DW with all its great engine looks like very poorly for modern game, with all due respect, so naturally someone would like to use the SH3 graphics and whatnot for depicting a nuclear sub. BTW, the Type 21 was used in Soviet, French and American navies shortly after the war..
