You can buy a mig kit for $22,000 however you need a licence to fly it in europe and also you cant fly it supersonic.

You would have to spend a lot of money tring to get an aviation authority to certify it,let alone an engineering company to maintain it or somebody to teach you how to fly it!The Raf shackletons that were preserved went to the USA where one occasionally flies.If you ever get down to South Africa Thunder City has some Lightnings plus a Buc.This is why you will never see a Vulcan or concorde fly again!

The CAA says they are too complicated to certify for flight. its sad realy.

Here in Quincy, IL we have someone who buys Warsaw Pact planes and rebuilds them to fly himself.

ooooh, nice MiG....

Now...where are they selling the 29s and the F-18s? Thumbs Up

Actually...since I'd be doing this through the fiance's ebay account I'd better look out an F-14 too... Very Happy


EDIT: That being said, I just found a Hawker Hunter (not airworthy Sad ) on ebay for £3,000
