I installed No_Fatigue mod manually as instructed on Apr 26, and today (Apr 30) while attacking a convoy all my crew went "fatigued" I cannot understand why. I thought this mod was supposed to get rid of that problem. :hmm: Robert |

Possible solution:
I have tested my idea about patrol based fatigue. Over a long day I didn't change the crew on station, even during a storm. They only tired from 25-30% in 19 hours. When sent to rest they recovered very slowly over 4-6 hours. I hope these results, when used in normal patrol operations will see the crew gradually tire until it would be noticeable at the end of a long or tough patrol.
Here are the modified parameters for the basic.cfg file. Note this is not the whole file, just the line changes.
crew sections by rank, change each rank fatigue lines to:
FatigueStep=0.01
CoefFatigue=0.02
Note: 1/10th what it was.
now down to the compartment sections.
;comp6
SpecificFactor60=-0.0025
SpecificFactor61=-0.0025
;comp7
SpecificFactor70=-0.0025
SpecificFactor71=-0.0025
Comp 6 and 7 are the crew quarters. These numbers have been changed by a lot.
Result is slower to tire crew with smaller recovery. Captain can forget about it unless on very arduous or long patrols. |

The edited version of Basic.cfg should be placed in your SH3\data\cfg folder, bear in mind that it will not take effect till a new patrol has been started. Just in case you haven't got the correct edited data it is:
[FATIGUE_COEF]
;comp 0
RegularFactor00=0.00
SpecificFactor00=0.00
BadWeather0=0.00
;comp1
RegularFactor10=0.00
RegularFactor11=0.00
SpecificFactor10=0.00
SpecificFactor11=0.00
BadWeather1=0.00
;comp2
RegularFactor20=0.00
RegularFactor21=0.00
SpecificFactor20=0.00
SpecificFactor21=0.00
BadWeather2=0.00
;comp3
RegularFactor30=0.00
RegularFactor31=0.00
SpecificFactor30=0.00
SpecificFactor31=0.00
BadWeather3=0.00
;comp4
RegularFactor40=0.00
RegularFactor41=0.00
SpecificFactor40=0.00
SpecificFactor41=0.00
BadWeather4=0.00
;comp5
RegularFactor50=0.00
RegularFactor51=0.00
SpecificFactor50=0.00
SpecificFactor51=0.00
BadWeather5=0.00
;comp6
SpecificFactor60=-0.1
SpecificFactor61=-0.1
;comp7
SpecificFactor70=-0.1
SpecificFactor71=-0.1
;comp8
RegularFactor80=0.00
RegularFactor81=0.00
SpecificFactor80=0.00
SpecificFactor81=0.00
BadWeather8=0.00
;comp9
RegularFactor90=0.00
SpecificFactor90=0.00
BadWeather9=0.00
;comp10
RegularFactor100=0.00
SpecificFactor100=0.00
BadWeather10=0.00
;comp 11
RegularFactor110=0.00
RegularFactor111=0.00
SpecificFactor110=0.00
SpecificFactor111=0.00
BadWeather11=0.00
But as kiwi_2005 said, use SH3 commander/options.
Hope this helps! |

Thanks Reece. Captains of U-boats (I don't think they did) went around every so often and personally put the crew to bed. The crews had their regular shifts and probably followed it. So I don't think it is realistic in a "game" to make the Captain responsible for manually changing the crew, :nope: he had more important things to do. It's a 'crock' that Ubisoft felt it necessary to put THAT responsibility on the Captain. :down: I am going to follow Reece's suggestion and physically change the cooefficients of the game. Robert |

Thank you, but I've already tried it and don't like it. It has an automatic roll-back feature that I do not like and there is nothing that can be done about it. :down: Robert. |

Wow - what is there not to like? SH3 Commander gives you so much latitude with the settings, and has so many enhancements... |

Just do a search for "Name=Group shortcuts" this should be G3F IXX the XX is that most menu_1024_768.ini files may be different mine is 21 look either side of this number (G3F I21) and you should find the one that matches the block in the readme, then edit!
If you still have problems let me know & I'll arrange for you to email the file, & I'll make the adjustments, & send it back.
Cheers. |

He refuses to read the instructions so hence doesn't understand it. His rollback comment proves this. His choice though. |

Robj250 do you know SH3Cdr gives you a commanders log of your patrols etc., probably one of the many best features in the mod. As for the Rollback feature its never been a issue - just dont click on it. |

I HAVE read the instructions and as long as SH3 Commander has the automatic ROLLBACK feature, I will not use it. I have just been promoted, using german ranks (U-Boot commanders do NOT use the American rank system and if some of your users prefer to use American ranks, that's up to them) so I'm not going to install it again to just have my rank rolled back by your programme, so stop bugging me about it and talking to other people about my refusal to use it. If and when I decide to use it I will let you know, however I am using another compatable SH3 programme. |

With SH3Cdr as I understand it, once I launch SH3 through SH3Cdr, Commander does an automatic roll back which I, as the player have no control over and I'm not comfortable with that. I realize Commander can do a lot of things for me, but I don't like the automatic roll back thing. |
