All it does is add d3d9.cfg and d3d9.dll, none of the game files are changed. |

I don't think that is correct, the readme is:
"Just copy the two batch files and the SHIII.sdb file to your SH3 directory, and run the "SP2 Res fix.bat".(I've included a batch file to uninstall the fix should you ever need to.)
I've included the dx9res10.zip in case you don't already have it.
Thanks to Kegetys for dx9res10 and to +G for the idea of creating this zip"
I will email Sartori23 in case of no response!
Thanks anyway. |

dx9res10.zip is the only res mod I ever used (thats the files i listed). This worked fine for SP1. I needed to do something with the microsoft compatability toolkit to make it work with SP2.
Sounds like you have a sp2 ready version or something?
What is it that you need to know anyway? |

What is the "secret" ( really meaning what did I screw up this time) of using this mod?
I tried it on my test system and SHIII always crashes after the disk check program finishes. So I never dared try it on my main playing computer.
Here is how I installed it:
Into the SHIII folder of a fresh install patched to 1.4b I placed:
d3d9.dll
d3d9
Appfix Package
SP2 Res fix uninstall
SP2 Res fix
Then I edited the d3d9 CFG file for 1024x768 resolution.
I hit the SP2 Res fix MS-DOS batch fix file.
I tried to start and SHIII crashed. I tried the uninstall fix and the game still crashed. I removed all files and the game works. |
