Laughing Loved the old Amiga 1200 and that 'contour map ' led to a heck of a lot of fun situations. Happy days. Thumbs Up

Thanks for reminding us Rock

Looks like a neat game, too bad I was only 1 year old when it came out. Razz

What is the contour map all about? Does it map out the ocean floor or something? That'd be a neat feature. Imagine navigating through some deep sea valleys in that.

Yep, sure was. It was a sorta mock 3D view of the immediate area for navigation and such. Pretty good for an old 386 game. I spent hours as a kid playing away... my first sub game actually.

Laughing Laughing I love that guy in the Soviet control room with a coffee mug that says "I *heart* *hammer & sickle*". Thumbs Up

That's comedy.

I used to play this alot of my 286 pc

the sound used to be pretty bad, i rember the joy of buying a new audio card in the hope the sounds would be better - like the voices would actually work.

but alas only the into screen of the game (the sub shot) would play music and the rest of the game kept the same quality sound Rotfl

still goes down as one of the most played and enjoyable games i ever had during those old times
