|
are kilos are supposed to go faster in emergency reverse then ahead flank ??
was checking out tokyo harbor mission in chinese kilo.
had to surface to get close enuff to deploy ops.
decided to go reverse on exit rather than risk running into a shoal.
was getting 20 kts on the diesels in emerg reverse !
surprised - shook head, splashed water on face, pinched self etc -
i double checked checked flank ahead - got 11 or 12 kts
and repeated emerg reverse - yep still gettin 20 kts ...
went to deeper water dove and tried it on electrics.
i only got 17 kts out of the electrics in emerg reverse.
so i rebooted just in case , and tried same test in russian kilo.
same basic results.
then i took out a seawolf. call emerg reverse but only got 16 kts
compared to the 17 kts the kilo churning out.
bug ? |

I'm running plain ole 1.03.
Tested a chinese kilo and a russian one. Both do only 16Kts when set to back emergency.
If I was a bettin' man I'd bet you're running one of the <cough> realism mods. |

Tested with stock DW 1.03.
The Kilo does in fact go back 20kts on the surface with both diesels and only 10-11kts going forward.
I'll make sure SCS knows about this.
Thanks Pal and Were. |

There is not many, there is only one realism pack
Named LWAMI
You should try it one day and take a look at the read me before making any judgment ... (or maybe are you ... <cought> ... sick ..?)
Criticism is always easy, trying to change known, and assumed by SCS, gameplay settings of the stock version, to realism settings, is much more difficult.
This concern so many things I can't give you a list here.
the readme could do that easily ...
Physical model of platforms is NOT affected at all by the LWAMI.
Not affected because it is hardcoded and in constant improvment by SCS, as you will see in the next patch version, actually in beta test.
One more thing the readme could have informed you about.
He is not so big, but quite dense, you could read it in less than 10 minutes.
Certainly you will no coughing anymore after this.
here is a link =>

Any suggestions for further improvment will be, I'm sure, appreciated by LuftWolf and Amizaur. |

Calm down.
Then read the part of the forum rules that state...
Quote: | We do not allow posts where people are called idiots, morons, etc. We respect your freedom of speech, we ask that you respect our rules. You are welcome to express your opinion about games and other subjects. We do not want SUBSIM Review and the Radio Room forums to degenerate into a collection of *This game sux!!!!* and other immature rants. Like something or dislike something about a game, express your thoughts in reasoned and responsible terms. There are any number of forums which allow unbridled idiocy to reign, we want the Radio Room to be a civil, mature forum for discussions about naval and subsims, tactics, mods, playing tips, troubleshooting, and submarine topics in general. |
Thanks
