Hi there you all fellow captains!
I have some questions reguarding multiplyer games. I will try to play such a game with a friend of mine via LAN.
I would like to know how does a multiplayer game work. I mean.
1) Can we play campaign mode together or just missions?
2) how does accelerated time works?
3) Do we start from the same dock?
Thanks very much |

It was a while since I played a MP game but I will try answer your questions.
1. No, you can only play missions.
2. For time acceleration to work everyone must time accelerate, I believe that you can only accelerate to 16x in multiplayer.
3. As I remeber it you never start in docks, you are always deployed out in the sea.

1.) Its always missions, but 1's the mission is over you can freelance it. Only 1 problem tho and that brings us to question 2.
2.) NO TC in multiplay at all. its all realtime. Load a LAN game all by yourself, try to use TC, you can't. Its locked at TC x 1.
3.) Yes you can start at the same dock solong as the MISSION is built that way. Most missions/maps will have you starting somewhere way out to sea in the middle of nowhere. To then get to a good hunting ground will take several DAYS!
However there are a few rare missions that do indeed go over several day, in fact 1 such mission takes over a week to complete. Its escort duty for the channel dash. |

Didn't the time acceleration work? Maybe I confused it with Silent Hunter 2 then. |
