just havin' a lil fun... i had to take a break from coding for a while, i was in the middle of trying to get a half way decent looking bow wake (the way im implementing it using particles is really giving me a hard time) and decided that since other particle effects that i'm gonna need as well, such as fire, smoke, explosions are in the same coding ballpark, i may as well work on em now...
the problem was not only making it look like a bow wake, but keeping the performance of the game acceptable and not slowing down when a zillion particles are on the screen...
... anyways, i think i've got it down now, just gotta clean up the code and test it.
so far, the ocean water is finalized, the sub's water dynamics are done and tested... ancillary stuff to the sub exterior needs to be worked on... then, this evening the control room and the attack center get put in and the first crewman class gets started...
it shouldn't take long because i've already done this in 3DRAD, and halway in two other engines... and Blitz is the easiest to work with so far...
controls and gauges after that...

...and this is the reason why you should not pour water on a chip pan fire.

yeah... i aint no god dude
but i know some coders who are... and i was toying with the idea of licensing their water package, that did exactly that... but their water didn't look too realistic... i'm gonna go with what i've got, it's pretty much set in stone, and too late to change if i intend to get this thing out as quickly as i need to now...
