Who wants the sterotypical mine you know the one that is a ball with spikes on it?

I could knock that one up in minutes all I need is the diameter and off I'd go.

That'd be great for dumping around european waters and have it set up so that it just bobs along a risk to everyone Smile

Thatll be cool ... from first hand view I think the diameter is roughly 1m (3ft) ... give or take some cm for the spiked ball. Guess others can give you a more detailed information.

P.S. : How bout adding a non-playable 212 class submarine?

Cheers

Well just rattled up a couple of versions.

On is the floating mine that has broken free and is bobbing about.

The other is the same mine on a cable that is about 10 metres in length.

I'll get someone to J3D then and I'll see what they look like in game.

What I would love to see is a mooring cable attached to the default generic mines. I'm not sure if having contact with the cable would cause the mine to explode but I hope so (ie snagging the cable and bringing the mine down on the sub).

Those were typical of the mines Iran set adrift in the Persian Gulf, during the Iran-Iraq war.
