|
|
I own the German language version of Sub Command.
Unfortunately SCX doesn't seem to be fully compatible with non-English SC versions.
So I would like to know whether I will ever have the chance to play SCX with my German SC.
To be more precise, does anyone know a workaround? Or is there a way to "transform" a German SC to an English SC?
Thanks for any advise. |

akm_ch,
I believe there is a way to install SCX onto a German install of SC.
Im not 100% sure about this, but here goes...
The SCX install files look for the English version of the game.
So what you need to do is fisrtly make backups of your install dir and then rename the German versions to English version.
You should then be able to install SCX.
Then rename the files back to the German version.
As i say, im not completly sure if this is the right way to do this or even if it will work or not.
But got to be worth a try :hmm: |

I followed Ramius' suggestions ... and ... it worked. The only thing I had to do was to replace the "d" of some file names by an "e".
Thanks to Ramius SC rocks for me again. And I still hope we will get a DWX soon ... |
