IIRC there was news a while back about a new movie about the PQ-17 disaster that was going to be released by a Russian producer. I haven't heard anything new about it for some time. Perhaps some Subsim members from Russia or elsewhere know what became of it ... ? :hmm:

I still have a copy of both trailers. Haven't heard anything in a while myself.

That's too bad. I'm dying for a decent WWII movie. "U-571" was so laughable it might as well have been a comedy, and as for "Pearl Harbor" - well, that song in "Team America" pretty much said it all.

Thats right, I had the same feeling.

About PQ
PQ-17 is released, I even kept it in my hands, I dont remember why i didn'b bay it. But I thin firs i'll read book by which it was made.

Thant for the book.

But thats story by David Irving. And movie was made after Valentin Pikul's book "Convoi PQ-17"
