Just got the DVD game (ver 1.0 according to read me.txt) and I can't upgrade to patch ver 1.1, 1.2 or 1.3... each time I try, it gives me the following error (abbreviated):
C:/ProgFiles/Ubi/SH3/data/Menu/de_menu.txt: unkown version
Anyone know how I might be able to edit the txt file so I can upgrade to the current patch?

yes i had the same problem
use the other patch....you know 1 is for U.S. & 1 is for everyone else.

Also if you have put in ANY kind of mod (no matter how small)
it changes the files so you will get that message. But it will
usually tell you where and you should know it already...
