I just started doing some SCXIIc practice missions.

A number of things which I have observed:

(1) Contacts seem to be fainter over the same distances as stock SC.

(2) Torps don't produce the same very thick and bold contacts which they produce in stock SC over extremely long distances.

(3) Torps need to be targeted quite a bit more accurately in order to acquire and kill a target.

Any comments or tips on making a transition to playing SCXIIc?

Thanks.

So far, I have tried the Seawolf, 688i, and 688i (Flt III) randomly against the Akula-II, Kilo, 688i(Flt III), and the Seawolf with a sprinkling of surface civilian ships to generate some noise and uncertainty.

Surely a patch on noise emanation.
