having trouble to get 3d to run correctly

Howdy, I recently upgraded the pc, so decided to reinstall Sub Command , added patch 1.08, scxII , and then scxIIu, in starting mission I get a CTD stating a problem with appelet 0.1.0.8?
It seems to run with 3d disabled, and I ran the install graphics before starting.

Any suggestions p[lease?
