|
|
first off, since this is my first post on this fine site, Hello. \
I recently purchased the Gold edition of rising tide. I have a Dell dimension 8200 pentuim 4, 450mhz, 256 RAM....running windows XP(not big on this computer stuff...is that enough info?)
My game crashes to blue screen of death sometimes....I can run fine for a while, then in the heat of battle, she plops out and i have to shut her down. I also dont know which patches, if any, i need. I also have a problem with the voice recognition...sometimes it will keep repeating a command, other times it will just make its own mind up. Ive been at periscope depth sneaking up on a convoy when all of a sudden you hear "Aye aye, crash dive/...." yeah. not good.
Any help would be appreciated..... |

Which Video and which soundcard does your puter have?
Do you have the latest drivers installed for both?
Do you have DirectX 9 installed?
Did you turn off your Antivirus?
Does Windows control the size of the page file?
Have you tried with less or no sound acceleration?
Did you apply any patches?

No, not a type...my system is really that awesome.
Ok, fine, yeah, typo.....
I dont have all that info here...i can get it. I ended up finding updated drivers for my vid cards last night, and that seems to have helped with the crashing problem. Ill let you know as i play some more.....I STILL have the incredibly frustrating voice recognition problem..... |

multiplayer (mmog) hasn't been released yet; there is no regular multiplayer in the Chapter 1 edition of Enigma.
As for the mission editing; it contains the ability to run player created missions - the mission editor was created by an Engima fan and can be found (along with instructions) over at http://enigma.tidesofwar.net |

Youre mike issue might boil down to that you need to train your speech profile and/or simply adjust the accuracy level in the speech control (in windows's control panel->speech) |

He must mean 4500 - Pentium '4' implies it's in the 4000 - 4999 range. |
