Any way to use mouse to control guns in B-17 The Mighty 8th?

I'm physically disabled, and have trouble using a joystick, or even a gamepad. Is there ANY way (mod, hack, whatever) that I can use my trackball to control movement of the guns??? I've tried using the keyboard controls, but that really doesn't work well. Shooting down a fighter that way is pretty much dumb luck. Any help or ideas is greatly appreciated.
