Summary of changes
Quote:
Vehicles - Added submarines, torpedoes, sonobuoys, ground SAM sites

Sensor models - Active and passive sonar (simple spherical spreading model), optical sensors

3D models - New 3D models and new xml / ive model format. Browse the .xml files in the 3d directory for model info. Thanks to Guido, TLAM Strike, Jason Simpson, and others for contributing some great new models. (Please forgive the sonobuoy model by Dewitt.)

Linux compatibility - The GDI+ library dependency is finally gone. All remaining libraries are cross-platform, allowing the Linux port to take place

Sound - Ambient effects now use OpenAL++. Systems that had sound crashing problems in 0.6 may find that sound works in 0.7. Music should work now, ogg files in the sound/ogg directory are played randomly if background music is enabled.

AI - The AI system was upgraded to a parallel task system. Multiple AI tasks can now run simultaneously on each game vehicle. The 'e' key now toggles an "EngageAll" task that is an example of the new system. Turn on radars and try in the Type42 scenario to see this in action.

Point defense - Point defense gun simulation added for ships (Mk15 CIWS added to the Type 42)

Damage modeling - Ships and subs sink after critical damage instead of immediately disappearing as before. Mounts and sensors can be knocked out by damage

Weapon range circles - Added range circles for weapons. Ranges are approximate due to variation with launch and target altitude.

Group selection - Added unit grouping feature. Use Ctrl+<number> to form a group, and use Alt+<number> to select a group.

GUI changes - Added torpedo preset control for torpedo launchers. Click the 'P' key next to torpedo launchers to activate. Launchers and sensors will show red when inoperable from damage. Launchers show bright(er) green when ready for immediate launch. Added track display option to left information panel.

if you like a game like harpoon this is the game for you! Thumbs Up
