Has anyone ever made a WWI sub movie? I think a movie about the U-9 or Weddigen would be cool. Or a conspiracy theory movie about the Lustitania (meaning she was carrying large amounts of munitions) |

Sure, "Morgenrot" for example. There are also a few others.

Could you tell me more about it? I figured it's a German film. What year was it made. Is it any good? I had four years of German, so watching it in German in not a problem. I won't understand much, but I'll still enjoy it. |

It's from 1933. I finde it in many ways better then "Das Boot"!. In fact i like it more then "Das Boot". I realy didn't expected sutch a good movie from 1933.There is one very significant difference betwinn "Morgenrot" and "Das Boot", Morgenrot uses a real u-boat and real destroyers and that rocks
In addition a great sound ambience. You must see the sub rocking in the waves
Morgenrot is of course a german production.
There are some other even older movies but i don't know where to get them.

Hi Deamon
I have just bought the movie (video) "GEHEIMAKTE WB1". So I'm looking in my mailbox every day and waiting for it to arrive.
Here is a link with info on the film:

Hallo Diesel
The link to the Murnau Stiftung seems to be very interesting. Maybe some other titles like U9 Wedigen are available there. Do you purschased a copy from them? Or from another source?
Thanks in advance
