How do I know what to load, which to load and how to load to get the best game out of Sub Command??
What differences are there in the mods? |

Ideally SCXII and SCU. The first mods the game to make it more realistic, the second gives you a wide choice in playable subs, often less capable 'cold war' boats that make the game both more interesting and challenging at the same time. Where's the challenge in a Seawolf? |

What happened to SCXIIc? Is this not the latest mod? Which comes with which, does SCU come with the SCXIIc download or the other way around? I see alot of talk about .dat files .dll files, are there problems loadking up this mod that I need to know about or is it straight foward?
I am not experienced at messing around with filing systems, I just really enjoy playing these games and would like to get the most fun with most realistic affect. I hate playing a "simulator" only to find out that what we are playing doesn't simulate. |

Hi Hunter
First there was SCX II, .. which you need to install first.
Follow that up with the installation of SCX IIc. SCX IIc is an update to SCX II, which adds more features, models etc.
SCU is included with SCX IIc, .. as SCX IIc has specific data that is required for SCU to work correctly.
Although SCU is included in the download for SCX IIc, .. it is not installed by default. See the Notes in the SCX_Docs folder in your Sub Command directory, .. for instructions on how to install SCU.
It's fairly straightforward ...
There is an ESM Fixes update, .. but, that is only required if you drive the Sierra SSN. The ESM_Fixes update can be found at whichever site you download SCX II & IIc from.
Cheers
