I have a question regarding the interfaces used with SCU subs. I am currently planning a campaign using the Royal Navy Swiftsure class. SCU uses the Seawolf interace for this boat, which to me seems a bit advanced for a 1970s sub. Is it possible to change the interface to the 688I instead? If so, how?

Hi Clive,

The short answer is yes and no. The SSN21 interface was chosen because the T boats have 5 torpedo tubes and the 688 has only four. Extra torp tubes can be removed from play, but not added.

You can probably use the 688 screens for the other non-weapon stations. I say probably, because I've never done this but I see no reason why it shouldn't work. For instance in order to change the radar station, you would have to replace the 3 radar files in the usersub folder with those in the 688 folder. This assumes that the you already have the usersub folder set-up to play the T-boat.

cheers, jsteed

Thanks for explaining, jsteed. I probably won't bother, then.
