How about... common sense?
Perhaps he has an earlier game of theirs (bf, that is) that had the same thing?
Mailing them?
Or something buried deep in their forums? |

That's what allows them to spend the money on decent manuals. They don't have to spend much on packaging. |
That would not just be cheeper for them, but also ecologically clever |
Could be a way to get a little cheap publicity as well. The liberal press loves such things. |

You're right, the way SCS and Battlefront are selling this sim is probably the only way we could get it with a full printed manual. Selling direct allows them to cut out the middleman and offer more product to the consumer.
I had a chance to have a look at the manual in its current state. It is unbelievably comprehensive, as well as quite clear and well written. It covers every knob, dial, and screen in complete detail. I'm told it will come as a spiral-bound manual, which is great for opening to a page and still being capable of lying flat. The manual by itself is a great product. |

How about adding the ability to print out the map for any given mission so old hands can do a bit of manual nav etc? |

Would be a nice thing to print out a portion or the map itself.... Bu looking at the maps used in RL navigation..I donīt have a printer that big
But you could glue some A4's or letter papers on your wall and navigate manually using that |

I've bought all 3 combat mission games from BFC. That's how they ship them...the discs in paper sleeves tucked in the inside cover of the manual and the manual sealed in a plastic wrapper.
That's how they ship all their games...I don't see DW being any different. |
