Anyone know if the DW navigation area includes being able to chart a course using waypoints, etc? If my memory serves me correctly Jane's 688I had that ability and I miss being able to do that in SC. It would be nice to have that feature and include being able to set various depths.

Waypoints are included via the Navigation Map. I would suggest going to look at the previews that are available because they can answer alot of your questions.

You can do it in SC, just go to nav screen, press insert, click your course, then press Esc when finished.

You can then click on the waypoints and see information such as ETA.

Also, in the recent DW preview it shows Beer throwing a P3 around with waypoints...

Well you can set waypoints in SC as much as you want and your ship will follow that course. If I'm not completely mistaken "Insert" was the key to lay down waypoints.

Same goes for DW. At least for the waypoints. Dunno 'bout the assigned key Very Happy

Wow! Thanks for the speedy replies! I had put the game away several months ago and recently (as you can certainly tell) dusted it off in preparation for DW. Thumbs Up
