I reckon we should have a United Nations forum in the general discussion section..as we have lots of "difficult" threads brewing off and on all the time...and it kind of illustrates the problems of trully international democracy...be interesting to "simulate" the problems in a miniture way by hosting the threads/discussions/arguments/debates in a "tongue in cheek" UNITED NATIONS forum ..which is in effect what we are actually doing...we can't do anything practical of course....but we keep trying to move towards some sort of common grounds and concensus...and it would be even slightly humourous to have a specific UNITED NATIONS forum
(or perhaps UNTIED NATIONS)
can't help thinking the coffee rooms at the UN must sound a little bit like this place does when it gets steaming on something political..
might help us all develop some insight into world politics without getting over the top..come to think of it theres a hell of a good multiplayer game idea in there somewhere....can a bunch of folks on a forum get together and reach a consensus and move towards resolving a simulated international crisis.. |

ouch... brings some very disturbing and chaotic images on my mind
Neal designed this place to be a website for submarine and naval sims in the main. The general section is already a bonus, and I think it is great that he allows so much freedom in themes in there. We don't really need a UN forum, but if he'll set it up, it probably will not do any harm
I am neutral on this request. But if you guys go on with it, I'll support the idea. |

aye im not being deadly serious about it (far from it..)
it's just those ironic thoughts that the idea raises that appeal to my sense of humour.. |
