deleting the saved games was the key to solving the error for me
(along with the rest of the recomendations of course...but it still took a couple of attempts before it took..generating a new campaign each time and making sure i deleted the old campaign from the in game menu list before i generated the next)

| Cheers..if yu find you still have problems..(i still had some problems)...use the sim.exe from the messerwetzer patch that really does seem to resolve it once and for all.. |
