Hi
A former Uboat engine room member (Heizer Bundesmarine U 19) helped me to document this device. It is an esential instrument for Battery room air circulation.
"Diferenzdruckmesser: damit wird der Differenzdruck (Luftdruck) im Batterieraum gemessen, um zu kontrollieren das die Lüfterschaltung stimmt und die Luft im Batterieraum richtig zirkuliert, damit keine Gase entstehen. Auf der Skala von dem Bild wird die Differenz im Milimeter abgelesen und stündlich auf Ronde protokolliert"
The device in my gallery (dated 30´s or 40´s should be similar to those used in WWI. The tubes are missing.
