One of the features I enjoy on SC is the built in Voice Recognicement commands system.
Once you get used to it and make the system work properly (through doing the speech training program several times) the system not only helps you to feel much more inside the sim but on some situations is even more appropiate and fast to use.
Surely not all users will want to use it, but I am sure many of us would welcome such feature on DW.
If the system could be worked on several laguages instead just on English, would probably be more welcome for a wider comunity.
Anyway, nobody asked me but I want it implemented on DW. |

I dont use the option in SC. Why?
Well, I have a fantasy. Its summer and the windows are open here in the Netherlands. My wife and the neighbours are outside in the garden.
Then, TORP IN THE WATER!!! And I start shouting orders.....
I think my neigbhour will call for medical help, and my wife for a lawyer. |

LMAO.
You are right, but make sure you play with your windows curtains closed because if the see you laying a mines barrier in front of Mursmank, no matter you use mouse only they will call for doctor.
On my case when the doctors came last year, I ordered them to plot the course of a Grisha who was hunting me while I asked my wife lawyer to get ready to deploy counter measures. The larger the crew the more chnces to succeed. |

Voice Recognition will be available again for DW, and the underlying system should remain mostly unchanged (we've upgraded from MS Speech 5.0 to 5.1... which didn't seem to be a "earth shattering" upgrade by MS - pretty minor).
So, we need to add specialized commands for the new platforms and test those for any compatability issues.
As for Russian, probably not... |

A little flexibility with some things and I'd use voice recognition myself. I have some trouble because of the possibility of the computer hearing itself (not a big deal) and the occasional stutter in my speech that caused my XO to hear "Surface the ship, aye" |
